JAKARTA, 28 November 2024 - The JAIF Management Team held an inception meeting to kick-off the Review of ASEAN Harmonised Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN) 2022/1.

The Programme Coordinator of JMT outlined the key elements for the successful implementation of JAIF projects. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Trade Facilitation Division of ASEC, who will act as the implementing agency and project proponent.

Since 2015, the Government of Japan, through JAIF, has supported three consecutive phases of the AHTN review. This continued support will contribute to the development of AHTN 2028 and ultimately benefit all stakeholders involved in intra- and extra-ASEAN trade.
