JMT Attends the Closing Ceremony of AJFP

JAKARTA, 21 August 2026 - The fifth ASEAN Junior Fellowship Programme (AJFP) concluded with a Closing Ceremony attended by the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs, H.E. Nararya S. Soeprapto; Minister, Deputy Head of Mission of Japan to ASEAN, Mr. ISEKI Yoshiyasu; representatives of ASEAN Member States; and the 23 AJFP fellows.

Reflecting on their experience, a representative of the fellows shared that, before joining the programme, they knew the “ASEAN Way” primarily as a concept, but through the programme, they gained first-hand insights into its principles and practices, while strengthening their knowledge and skills in multilateral diplomacy.

The fifth AJFP was partially supported by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), contributing to efforts to strengthen the capacity of ASEAN’s young professionals and nurture the next generation of ASEAN leaders.
