PENANG, 5 September 2023 – The JAIF Management Team (JMT) represented Japan at the 1st Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting of The Disaster Emergency Logistics System for ASEAN (DELSA) – Phase IV Project, organised by the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) in Penang, Malaysia on 5 September 2023.

The PSC reviewed and discussed planned activities under Phase IV that will replenish stockpiles in DELSA warehouses, enhance the logistic capacities of national disaster management offices, update the roadmap for an enhanced humanitarian logistics system of ASEAN, and strengthen regional supply chain management for emergency response through the implementation of relevant components of the ICT Roadmap on Disaster Management for 2025 and beyond.

JMT Director Naoki Minamiguchi delivered opening remarks at the DELSA Phase IV PSC meeting.
