Following the success of the project Development of VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) Capacity in 2017, the project to implement the VTS training courses for operators (both the modified course and short-term course) as well as the VTS manager course commences this year after establishing the remote data communication links between the ASEAN Regional Training Center for VTS (ARTV) and each ASEAN Member State, the first training facility of its kind to be set up in the ASEAN region.

The Advanced Personnel Training Program for Vessel Traffic Service is supported by the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
