ASEANAPOL Prepares for Regional Anti-Scam Centre Study Visit

On 24 August 2026, Executive Director of the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, Dr. Kongkrissada Kittithiraphong, together with relevant officials from the ASEANAPOL Secretariat, Senior Officials Meeton on Transnational Crime (SOMTC) Japan, SOMTC Singapore, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the JAIF Management Team, convened a Working Group Meeting to prepare for the upcoming ASEAN Study Visit to Anti-Scam Centres in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.

The meeting focused on programme coordination and logistical arrangements to ensure the smooth implementation of the Study Visit in September 2026 and to strengthen regional cooperation in combating scams.

 The Study Visits on Anti-Scam Centre Practices in ASEANAPOL Member Countries: Advancing a Regional Framework to Counter Scam Centres linked to Human Trafficking and Forced Criminality project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
