The picture is a baby carrier from Malaysia. It is used by the Kelabit community in Sarawak. Can you see the ancient beads and leopard’s fangs? They are said to have the spiritual power to protect the baby.

This heritage collection from Department of Museums Malaysia (Jabatan Muzium Malaysia) is featured together with heritage items from Thailand and Indonesia through the ASEAN Cultural Heritage Digital Archive (ACHDA) project supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
