Highlight of JENESYS2024 Activities Reported in October 2025

JENESYS2024 aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan, ASEAN Member States, and Timor-Leste, to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, as well as to encourage an understanding of various aspects of Japan. The project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). This is the highlight of JENESYS2024 reported by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) in October 2025:
Call for ASEAN Participants – JENESYS Phase III
To all future leaders of ASEAN and Japan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan proudly launches the brand-new program, “JENESYS Phase III.” The main theme? He thanked JENESYS for the opportunity to join the International Youth Conference on Biodiversity as a volunteer in Japan last year. Big news! JENESYS alumnus Carell Belandres-Henry has been officially recognised as an Individual Artist by the NCCA (National Commission for Culture and the Arts) of the Philippines! She has actively promoted cultural exchange through music, inspired by her experience in the JENESYS.
70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Lao PDR and Japan
The 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Lao PDR and Japan, JENESYS The Lao PDR and Japan's Information Technology / Regional Revitalization Exchange (Invitation Program for Students) on 30 September to 7 October 2025 was successfully held this year. 15 participants from Lao PDR visited Japan as part of the JENESYS Project. They visited Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto prefecture. They are expected to make use of what they have learnt from this program and contribute to the sustainable development of various sectors in Laos in the future.
