Highlight of JENESYS2025 Activities Reported in November 2025

JENESYS2025 aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan, ASEAN Member States, and Timor-Leste, to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, as well as to encourage an understanding of various aspects of Japan. The project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). This is the highlight of JENESYS2025 reported by the Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) in November 2025:
The Application for JENESYS2025 Online Japan-Visit Advanced Program is Open
The application for JENESYS2025 Online Japan-Visit Advanced Program (Theme: Japanese Language, Tradition and Pop-culture / Social Issue and Youth Participation) for All ASEAN Member States is open.
This program offers a great opportunity to enhance your understanding of Japan through theme-specific lectures, discussions, Japanese language lessons, school exchange, and more. The program will generally be conducted separately by theme, although some activities may be combined.
Japan-ASEAN Student Conference is Recruiting Participants!
Whether you are interested in cooperation and international exchange between ASEAN countries, Japan-ASEAN, or interested in future work connecting with overseas, we are eagerly waiting for applications from Japanese students who are willing to apply.
77 members and 7 Japanese students from ASEAN countries gathered to conduct the Japan-ASEAN Student Conference. Discussions and presentations in English about common issues between ASEAN countries and Japan, and submit suggestions on the final day.
The Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Japan Exchange Programme
8 participants from the Philippines, 12 from Singapore, and 10 from Thailand visited Tokyo and Miyagi prefecture as part of the JENESYS Project. They are expected to make use of what they have learnt from this program and contribute to the sustainable friendship between ASEAN countries and Japan.
