Here are the highlights of the ACE-LEDMP Middle Executive Level - Third Batch, 2026 activities in September 2026:

Participants explored the role of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) in Disaster Management in a session facilitated by United Nations OCHA, Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, and DHL.

The session highlighted how collaboration with the private sector can strengthen disaster preparedness, response, and recovery efforts through access to funding, expertise, technology, innovation, and equipment. Participants also examined regional best practices and discussed how governments can strategically engage private sector partners to mobilise resources and address critical gaps before, during, and after disasters.

ACE-LEDMP Diary: Advanced Crisis Communications in Disaster Management for Managers

As part of the on-site activities in Jakarta, participants took part in the Advanced Crisis Communications session facilitated by the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management & Humanitarian Assistance.

By sharpening these essential skills, participants are better equipped to support coordination, decision-making, and public communication during crises across the ASEAN region.

ACE-LEDMP Diary: Advanced Systems Thinking in Disaster Management

Participants explored Advanced Systems Thinking in Disaster Management, facilitated by Dr. Mizan Bustanul Fuady Bisri of Kobe University / Asian Disaster Reduction Center (ADRC).

The programme kicked off with a visit to the AHA Centre and Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) / Pusdalops of Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) Indonesia on 18 August 2026, where participants gained firsthand insights into regional and national disaster coordination mechanisms and emergency operations.

The experience marked the beginning of their exciting journey to become future leaders in ASEAN’s disaster management landscape.
