The Ambassador of the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, YONETANI Koji, conveys that the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) has been supporting capacity development for coordination to promote the formulation of collaborative research projects and expand the frontiers of ASEAN-Japan science, technology, and innovation (STI) cooperation.

Dr Nawata Eiji and Dr Sonobe Taro of CSEAS Kyoto University reported progress on the STI coordination platform launched two years ago. This momentum will help nurture the next generation of effective STI leaders across ASEAN and Japan.
