The Japan Sports Agency (JSA) promotes women's social participation and success through sports by creating an environment that encourages women to participate in sports. As part of this effort, JSA and ASEAN Secretariat will work together to promote gender equality through sports for the 10 ASEAN countries in which the Japanese government is cooperating in the field of sports during the Tokyo 2020 Games. JSA held a four-day workshop "ASEAN-Japan Workshop on Promoting Gender Equality in Sports".

This campaign is part of the ASEAN-Japan Actions on Sports supported by the Government of Japan through Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
