ACB Conducted a Preparatory Meeting on the Development of the Training Manual and Field Guidebook

From 24 to 25 August 2022, representatives from the University of the Philippines Diliman Institute of Biology, Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems, the Philippines’ Department of Environment and Natural Resources Biodiversity Management Bureau, and the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) conducted a preparatory meeting-workshop on the development of the Field Guidebook on Common Vascular Plants Along the Mudspring Trail of the Mount Makiling Forest Reserve and Training Manual on DNA Barcoding of Vascular Plant Species for the Tropics.

These publications are being developed through the collaboration between the ACB and the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), which emphasises the importance of species identification, discovery, and communication through the conduct of taxonomic capacity enhancement activities in the ASEAN region.
