JENESYS2019 Exchange Program for Understanding Japan (9th Batch) (Country: Cambodia, Theme: Cheerleading)

From February 18 to February 26, 15 Japanese and other university students will visit Cambodia.

During their visit to Cambodia, the group will work on disseminating Japan’s appeal through joint practice with the theme-related Norton University, visiting the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and interacting with local people.

In addition, the tour will visit the Chroy Changwar Bridge, which was rebuilt with Japan’s Grant Aid, and deepen their knowledge of Japan’s international contribution. In addition, the tour will visit Phnom Penh city, the Royal Palace and National Museum, Tuol Sleng Museum, Wat Phnom, etc. to deepen their understanding of Cambodian culture, society and history.

Through this program, young people who have the ability to transmit information to the future generations of Japan will deepen their knowledge based on the themes, actively disseminate information on Japan, promote understanding of Japan in Cambodia. It is expected to contribute to strengthening the foundation for mutual understanding and trusting relationships.

The JENESYS2019 is an exchange programme for the youths of Japan and ASEAN supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
