JENESYS2019 Japan Exchange Program for Understanding Japan (17th Batch) – (Country: Myanmar, Theme: Sports Exchange (Judo))

From January 21 to 29, 14 young Judo practitioners from Myanmar will visit Japan. The group will visit Tokyo, Saitama and Kanagawa as a program on the theme of “sports exchange (judo)”. In addition to visiting judo-related facilities, museums, universities, etc., they will participate in lectures and exchanges in Tsurugashima City, the host town of Myanmar at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, and participated in sports exchanges including judo. In addition, through homestays and tours of each region, they will directly experience Japanese culture and experience the charm of Japan.

Through this program, young people who will play a role in Myanmar’s future are expected to deepen their knowledge based on the themes, deepen their understanding and interest in Japanese culture, etc., and after returning to their country, they are expected to become active promoters of Japan’s appeal.

The JENESYS2019 is an exchange programme for the youths of Japan and ASEAN supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
