Meeting with Foreign Minister Kono and ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi
Japan’s Foreign Minister Taro Kono visited the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta and met with ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi. The Foreign Minster explained the position of Japan on further strengthening Japan-ASEAN relations towards the ASEAN related foreign ministers’ meeting to be held in July this year and the ASEAN-related summit meeting to be held in November. Minister Kono introduced the ASEAN music festival to be held in Japan in October this year, touching that this year is the 45th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan Friendship Cooperation.
Secretary-General Dato Lim also expressed his appreciation for the 45th anniversary of Japan-ASEAN Friendship Cooperation and expressed his appreciation for Japan’s cooperation, including the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
