Two New Publications Made through the Taxonomic CapacBuilding on DNA Barcoding of Common Vascular Plants in the Tropics Project
Two new publications, made through the Taxonomic Capacity Building on DNA Barcoding of Common Vascular Plants in the Tropics Project in partnership with the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), Department of Environment and Natural Resources, University of the Philippines Diliman – Institute of Biology, and Mount Makiling Center for Mountain Ecosystems, were launched during the Seventh ASEAN Heritage Parks Conference.
The publications, “Field Guide to the Vascular Plants of the Mudspring Area, Mount Makiling Forest Reserve, Philippines” and “Manual on DNA Barcoding of Vascular Plants in Southeast Asia”, will help in enhancing of the capacity of the AMS in identifying vascular plant species in the region and using DNA-based approaches in species identification and discovery.
