JMT Attends the ACE-LEDMP Opening Ceremony and the 1st PSC Meeting
JAKARTA, 21 April 2026 - The AHA Centre officially opened the AHA Centre Executive (ACE): Leadership in Emergency and Disaster Management Programme (ACE-LEDMP) Junior Executive Level – Third Batch in Jakarta, marking the commencement of its on-site learning phase.
Following the completion of online training sessions on 9 April, 22 participants from across the ASEAN Member States began two months of intensive onsite learning, dialogue, and hands-on practice aimed at strengthening regional leadership and disaster management capacities. The Executive Director of the AHA Centre, Lee Yam Ming, and the Second Secretary of the Mission of Japan to ASEAN, Takeno Yuri, delivered opening remarks during the Opening Ceremony and the launch of the ACE-LEDMP Website.
Coordinated by the AHA Centre, the Emergency Operations Centre was demonstrated to the Third Batch participants and members of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) for ACE-LEDMP Phase II, Subsequently, the first PSC Meeting was opened with remarks from the Director of the JAIF Management Team, Naoki Minamiguchi, and the Co-Chairs, comprising Indonesia, Singapore, and Viet Nam.
The ACE-LEDMP Phase II Project is supported by the Government of Japan through JAIF, reaffirming a shared commitment to building a more resilient ASEAN.
