Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI by Participants of “JENESYS2025 ASEAN-Japan Students Conference”

On 13 January, the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, ONISHI Yohei, received about 80 university students from ASEAN Member States participating in the “JENESYS2025 ASEAN-Japan Students Conference”. The overview of the courtesy call is as follows:

  1. Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI welcomed the delegation to Japan and expressed his hope that this program would be fruitful for all participants while stating that it is a valuable experience for students from different cultures to gather together across national borders and exchange views on common challenges shared by Japan and ASEAN countries with open hearts. He also expressed his hope that participants in this program would experience Japan through various aspects such as its history and culture, deepen their understanding of the country, and serve as bridges between ASEAN countries and Japan after returning home.
  2. In response, a representative of the students expressed their gratitude for their visit to Japan through JENESYS and their expectations and enthusiasm for participating in the ASEAN-Japan Students Conference and for strengthening ASEAN-Japan relations further.
  3. At the end of the courtesy call, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI, guest and the delegation took photos together to commemorate the program.
