Heritage Collection from Ayutthaya Period in National Library of Thailand

A manuscript from Thailand dated from the Ayutthaya period tells the origins of elephants and a variety of elephant families, such as Phromphong, Naraiphong Isvaraphong, and Akkhaniphong, including the evil-looking elephants.

This heritage collection from the National Library of Thailand is featured together with heritage items from Malaysia and Indonesia through the ASEAN Cultural Heritage Digital Archive (ACHDA) project supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
