International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Indonesia (IOM) – together with the Department of Skill Development and regional partners – held a workshop with 30+ government officials and experts to exchange insights on the ASEAN Guiding Principles Phase 3 (AGP3) and examine how they can be applied within Thailand's national skills recognition systems.

 The initiative continued in Laos with a workshop in Vientiane on 21–22 May 2026 to strengthen regional cooperation on quality assurance and the recognition of labour competency certification.

The Expanded Application of the ASEAN Guiding Principles for Quality Assurance and Recognition of Competency Certification Systems (AGP Phase 3) project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
