In recent years, ASEAN has advanced integration in political, economic, and socio-cultural fields, thereby expanding its international presence. By providing promising officials of the ASEAN Secretariat and related organisations with opportunities to learn about Japan's policies, systems, and positions in light of the current international environment, this project aims to strengthen the functions of the ASEAN Secretariat through the capacity building of these officials. Furthermore, by strengthening the network between Japan and ASEAN, and by supporting those who learn about Japan, the project seeks to enhance mutual trust and facilitate smooth cooperation with Japan in the future.
