Celebrating ASEAN Youth in Climate Action and Disaster Resilience Day: The second batch of ASEAN Volunteers was deployed in the Philippines in November 2023

25 November is observed as ASEAN Youth in Climate Action and Disaster Resilience Day! In celebrating its 5th year, let’s give a courageous shout out to the second batch of #ASEANVolunteers deployed to the Philippines! Facilitated by the Philippines Red Cross (tag when available), youth volunteers actively participate in flood resilience and disaster management projects, as well as health caravan care services. They also learned valuable know-how, such as composting, material recovery, sustainable planting and harvesting!

The ASEAN Volunteers project is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) and is part of the commemoration of the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.
