Regional Workshop Conducted by SEAFDEC on Mitigation and Strategic Policy to Combat Microplastic Pollution in Southeast Asia

A Workshop on Mitigation and Strategic Policy to Combat Microplastic Pollution in Marine and Freshwater Fisheries in Southeast Asia Region was held on 2 July 2025.
Upholding the Theme “Advancing Blue Economy through Strategies for Managing Plastic Pollution in Aquatic Systems” the workshop will share knowledge from international experts and policymakers on the latest perspectives, innovations, and technologies to tackle microplastic pollution and protect our aquatic resources. This workshop was moderated by experts from CSEAS and MMAF.
Regional Collaborative Research and Capacity Building for Monitoring and Reduction of Marine Debris from Fisheries in Southeast Asia is supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
