JENESYS2020

Japan continued to support JENESYS programmes with a total contribution of approximately USD 7,400,000 for the implementation of JENESYS2020. The programme involved approximately 1,100 youths from Japan and ASEAN Member States to participate in its activities. This programme aims to encourage an understanding about Japan to the general public of ASEAN Member States and Timor Leste and to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and the Asia-Pacific region including ASEAN and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation. This component was closed in October 2022.
