Economic Partnership Agreement: Japanese Language Training Courses for Nurses and Certified Caretakers (EPA)

Under a bilateral Partnership Agreement between the Government of Japan and two ASEAN Member States, this component focused on Japanese language courses for nurses and certified caretakers from Indonesia and the Philippines temporarily staying in Japan. The first disbursement of assistance was in 2009 with the amount of approximately USD 14,300,000. An additional JPY 472,000,000 (approximately USD 5,600,000) was contributed in 2012 to offer Japanese language training to Vietnamese candidate nurses and caretakers in the same manner. This component was closed in January 2018.
