20 January 2020 -

From January 21 to January 29, 17 high school and university students from Brunei will visit Japan as part of JENESYS2019.

The group will visit Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Osaka under the theme of “sports exchange (judo)” to implement international exchange projects. In Tokyo, we will visit the Olympic Museum, Touken Museum, Nippon Sport Science University, etc., and interact with Japanese judo players through judo at Kodokan. In Kanagawa Prefecture, they will deepen understanding of Japan by experiencing Japanese culture at Omotoyama Sojiji. In Osaka Prefecture, they will interact with Japanese students through Judo at Setsunan University and increase interest in Japan by deepening exchanges with local residents at homestays.

Through this program, it is expected that the friendship between Japan and Brunei will be further strengthened, and that the group will actively disseminate their experiences on visiting Japan and Japanese culture and attractions.

The JENESYS2019 is an exchange programme for the youths of Japan and ASEAN supported by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
