JENESYS2016

Following the success of JENESYS2015, the Government of Japan in 2016 introduced a subsequent JENESYS project, so-called JENESYS2016, and made further contribution in the total amount of approximately USD 10,800,000 for its implementation in FY 2016. Approximately 1,800 youths (including students and professional individuals) from Japan and ASEAN Member States were involved in FY 2016 with the objective to promote mutual trust and understanding among the peoples of Japan and participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, and at encouraging an understanding of Japan’s economics, society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relations. This component was closed in December 2017.
