Japan Productivity Center in Myanmar
On the 24th, Japan Productivity Headquarters announced that it had established Myanmar Productivity Center in the country, in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry of Myanmar and the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI). In Myanmar, investment from overseas has expanded rapidly since the transfer of civil administration in 2011. The need for guidance on productivity improvement is also growing.
The costs for the establishment were contributed by the Government of Japan through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF). It is part of the project Capacity Building of Industrial Human Resource Development Organization for Productivity Improvement in Myanmar (Phase II) supported by the Government of Japan through the JAIF.
