Meeting with Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Norikazu Suzuki and Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dato Lim Jock Hoi

Japan’s Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Norikazu Suzuki met with ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi on 8 January 2019. The Vice Minister mentioned the Joint Statement commemorating the 45th anniversary of Japan-ASEAN Friendship Cooperation issued at the Japan-ASEAN Summit in November 2018 and expressed Japan’s hope to further strengthen Japan-ASEAN relations.
In response, Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi expressed his appreciation for Japan’s cooperation, including support through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), and expressed hope for continuous cooperation between Japan and ASEAN in various fields.
