Ambassador Sunaga’s participation to the Graduation Ceremony of Attachment Programme

On December 10, H.E. Kazuo Sunaga, Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, attended the graduation ceremony of the Attachment Programme and celebrated the graduation of 12 participants. Attendees to the ceremony included H.E. Dato Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Huang Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political Security Community, H.E. Kung Phoak, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community, H.E. Dr. AKP Mochtan, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs, H.E. Norng Sakal, Permanent Representative of Cambodia to ASEAN and Chair of IAI Task Force, and Permanent Representatives of ASEAN countries.

The Attachment Programme dispatches young governmental officials from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam (CLMV) to the ASEAN Secretariat for one year, with a view to enhancing administrative capacities of the participants and narrowing the gap between CLMV countries and other six ASEAN countries. The program has produced excellent officials till now. The Government of Japan has supported the program through the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF).
