ASEAN, Japan reaffirm commitment to further strengthen dialogue partnership

ASEAN and Japan renewed their commitment to further advance partnership following the 12th Meeting of the ASEAN-Japan Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) held at the ASEAN Secretariat.

The annual JCC meeting is a key mechanism to coordinate and review ASEAN-Japan cooperation. ASEAN appreciated Japan’s continued support for ASEAN Community building including through its contribution to the Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF) as well as cooperation programmes to support ASEAN’s efforts in enhancing regional connectivity and narrowing the development gap.
